About Provincials
Each season the Ottawa West Ball Hockey League (OWBHL) offers players looking to participate in a more competitive program the opportunity to try out for a Provincial Team in their age division. Teams compete in the Ontario Ball Hockey Association (OBHA) Provincials Tournaments. Important information to remember:

    • Every player trying out for a Provincial team must be registered in the regular season of OWBHL
    • Provincials are a competitive program, and we cannot guarantee equal playing time for each player
    • If a player is selected to a Provincial team there may be additional associated costs (registration fee, uniform, etc.)
    • It is the player’s responsibility and expense to organize transportation, meals and hotel stay at the tournament (OWBHL will work with the tournament host to block rooms at a specific hotel for players to book at preferred pricing)
    • Players, Coaches and Parents are reminded that they are representing OWBHL at these tournaments
    • Let’s have fun and show the OBHA why OWBHL is the best in Ontario!

The Ottawa West Ball Hockey League is pleased to announce the intent of forming co-ed competitive provincial teams to represent our organization at the following tournaments;


Junior (U18) Birth years 2007/2008 (for 2025 Season)
Tournament Dates: July 4 – 6 2025
Location: Brampton, Ontario
Practices/Tryouts:
Sundays 11:00 am – 12:00 pm (Starting Week 4)
Location: Dulude
*Additional Practice may be added at a later date

Bantam (U16) Birth years 2009/2010 (for 2025 Season)
Tournament Dates: July 4 – 6 2025
Location: Brampton, Ontario
Practices/Tryouts:
Sundays 10:00 am – 11:00 am (Starting Week 4)
Location: Dulude
*Additional Practice may be added at a later date

Peewee (U14) Birth years 2011/2012 (for 2025 Season)
Tournament Dates: July 4 – 6 2025
Location: Brampton, Ontario
Practices/Tryouts:
Sundays 9:00 am – 10:00 am (Starting Week 4)
Location: Dulude
*Additional Practice may be added at a later date

Girls Provincials
Depending on interest and registration numbers OWBHL is willing to support Girl’s teams to attend the Provincial Tournaments. Practices and Tryouts would be TBD if numbers and interest allow. The OBHA offers the tournment for teams at the U11, U13, U15, U18 levels.

Interested in Coaching?

    • All coaches must have a valid Police Reference Check
    • Must be fully committed to organizing tryouts, and practices on Sundays leading up to attending the tournament weekend
    • Head coach must be over 18 years of age
    • Preference will be given to coaches who are currently coaching the regular season of OWBHL
    • All coaches will be reviewed by OWBHL Directors, please note depending on the number of applications all coaches expressing interest may not be selected.
