KidSport Canada has a vision where all children have the opportunity to participate in sports. Their mission supports children who need financial assistance with sports registration fees and equipment costs. They believe that the power of sport participation promotes the development of children’s social, mental and physical well-being. Through increasing access to quality sports programs, KidSport strengthens communities across Canada.

Since 1993, KidSport has helped over 965,000 kids across Canada get into the game with more than $92 million in registration fees and equipment costs. The reality is that cost keeps 1 in 3 Canadian children out of sports. Together, with our network of local chapters, KidSport Canada is helping families overcome financial barriers, So ALL Kids Can Play!

Founded in 2005, Jumpstart helps kids overcome financial and accessibility barriers to sport and recreation in an effort to provide inclusive play for kids of all abilities. Sometimes, families need financial assistance to get their kids into a sport or physical activity. We’re committed to helping all families access a range of activities, from boxing to bowling and skating to skiing, and more.

Jumpstart is more than just about getting kids active. It’s about giving kids from families in financial need the same chance to participate as their neighbours, their classmates and their friends. Whether it’s the chance to try a new sport or to continue with a favourite one, no kid should be left out. Jumpstart’s mission is to enrich the lives of kids in need through sports and physical activity. Their vision is a Canada, where all kids have a chance to fulfill their dreams.
